Beginning Saturday, April 6, 2013, 11:00 AM
Engage both body and mind with this 5-Day laboratory series led by Artistic Director,
Nathan A. Cooper.
Students will be lead through the process of creating an artistic Etude, based on the concept of actor as creator. These etudes will be inspired from personal research and exploration. We will give you the tools you need to express yourself in the way you want, and you’ll grow as an artist and person in the process.
Bring water, movment clothes and an open mind to help bring yourself new heights.
Classes are held on Saturdays: 4/6, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, & 5/11
Classes meet from 11:00am – 1:30pm at

Nathan, what do you think students will gain from this course?
This class will explore the actor as the center of the creative process, using physical exercises and methods as a way to develop and create etudes. Students will be pushed to think about theatre in a new way, and will gain valuable insights along the way.
Why do you think training physically is essential for an actor?
Being in good phyiscal condition and having awareness and control of your body is essential as an actor, because our bodies are our instruments and we want to keep them in top shape.
How important is having fun in physical training? What makes it fun for you?
Having fun while training makes it all worth while. If you aren’t having fun, you might as well be at the gym. Going through this training with a group makes it fun, the shared experience will help you reach new levels as a performer.
