Tina Canady

Tina Canady is a queer Baltimore-bred, artist and cultural organizer. Her work centers Black liberation, joy and healing as pivotal tools in the disruption of white supremacy. She is passionate about creating new works and retelling the stories we think we know. Once upon a time, she took a bite out of the Big Apple and received a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She currently serves as a Single Carrot Teaching Artist and looks forward to this new chapter as an Ensemble Member! She was previously seen at SCT in “Peter Pan or Wendy, Peter. Peter, Wendy” and most recently as Charlotte/Hazzie in “Safe Space.”
